Released in 2022, Parker’s Heritage 16th Edition Double Barreled Blend Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is part of a special selection of whiskey crafted in honor of Heaven Hill’s late Master Distiller Parker Beam. The series utilizes various distillates to create each release, ranging from bourbon, rye, and wheat whiskey among others – and are cited as some of the finest American whiskeys produced by this distinct distillery. Parker’s Heritage 16th Edition is a blend consisting of 67% 13 year old Kentucky straight bourbon that has been double-barreled and married post maturation with 33% 15 year old Kentucky straight bourbon. The 13 year old distillate is selected from Rickhouse Q, re-barreled in new American white oak with #3 charring for at least 4 weeks. The secondary distillate, a 15 year old whiskey aged in Rickhouse II, is then added to the blend before the liquid is bottled, uncut, and non-chill filtered, finished to 66.1 ABV %. Expect aromas of sweet cherries in caramel, toasted marshmallows, honey, and ribbons of maple syrup paired with a palate of bold vanilla, more cherries, caramelized pecans, and spice.
